AMII welcomes ‘inspiring’ new corporate member

The Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII) is expanding with the addition of its newest corporate member – a healthcare provider which has been recognised nationally as ‘a company to inspire Britain’.

Inchora Health provides a unique membership service offering a combination of nurse-led and GP-supported healthcare, advocacy and support, as well as health-related insurance to both employees and consumers.

The company was recently recognised in London Stock Exchange Group’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report which identifies the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized businesses across the UK.

Timothy Dodd, Managing Director at Inchora Health, said: “As the voice of the UK health insurance industry, we are pleased to be joining AMII as a member, and contributing to helping the industry inspire consumer confidence.

“The medical insurance market is changing, offering more tailored products that help to give people peace of mind if they fall ill. Inchora is a new entrant to the market and we are passionate about making a difference to our customers. We’re excited to join other providers from across the sector to ensure that consumers are given access to insurance products that will help support their health and wellbeing.”

Inchora Health takes AMII’s corporate membership to a total of 12 providers, representing more than 90% of the UK PMI market and over 60% of the UK Health Cash Plan market*.

Stuart Scullion, AMII Chairman, said: “As a body, we work hard to promote and advise on health insurance, protection and wellbeing services while also ensuring our collective voice is heard and helping to shape the industry.

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Inchora Health as a new member. They are coming on board at an important time for our industry and will no doubt help AMII enhance our strong position in relation to our interaction with the FCA as our regulator and similarly in our collective lobbying of government on IPT and legislative changes.”
